Healing the Family Tree

Jan. 18, 25 and Feb. 1, 2012

Wednesdays 3:00pm - 5:00pm

On January 18 we will begin a 3 week class on Healing the Family Tree. Our text will be "From Generation to Generation - A manual for healing" by the Rev. Patricia Smith.  Rev. Smith was on our original board of directors for the St. Francis Center for Restoration. We will be taking a look back at our families of origin to see patterns of behaviors that need redemption. We know that physical traits and aptitudes come through the family. Addictions and other life draining experiences also can come through our lineage.  Renee' Koenig will be facilitating this group. She has been praying for her family tree since 1990. Renee' was a prayer partner with Rev. Smith and has continued to be very actively involved in this ministry. Please call the Center at 321-728-8222. Books will be ordered in December.

Women's Study Group

simple ways book

The St. Francis Center for Restoration will be hosting a women’s study group for six weeks. We will meet on 6 consecutive Wednesdays from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. beginning on September 14th  2011 in the Children’s Chapel. We will conclude in time to attend the Wednesday dinner at St. Sebastian’s.

As our text we will use the book “Simple Ways to Pray for Healing” by Fr. Matt Linn, Dennis Linn and Sheila Fabricant Linn. In their words, “This is a prayer book, but one that takes seriously what science is teaching us about how love infuses all of creation. Whether you are a nuclear physicist or a small child, we hope you will find here simple ways to give and receive the healing love of God.”

Fr. Matt has been a board member of the St. Francis Center for Restoration for the past 8 years. He is a Roman Catholic, Jesuit priest. Often, Fr. Matt has presented for us and for the ecumenical church communities in Brevard County.

Please give us a call if you are interested in joining our group. Our group process will include silent prayer, open sharing and practice in the discipline of prayer. Books are available for $13.00.
